Turkey Meatballs
For dinner tonight, I decided to try my hand at making turkey meatballs, and they turned out fantastic! Here’s the recipe I came up with, combining a few ideas I found online:
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Italian seasoning
- Salt
- Onion powder
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, egg, almond flour, grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and onion powder. Use a hand mixer to thoroughly mix the ingredients until well combined.
- Shape the turkey mixture into meatballs. Mine yielded about 18 meatballs.
- Spread Rao’s sauce evenly on the bottom of a baking sheet.
- Place the turkey meatballs on top of the sauce.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.
- Once the meatballs are cooked, sprinkle shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top.
- Switch the oven to broil and broil the meatballs for 2-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
