Ingredients:
- 1 pound strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pound store-bought pound cake, sliced
- 1/2 cup strawberry jam
- Whipped cream and additional sliced strawberries for garnish

Directions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced strawberries, 1/4 cup of white granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix well and set aside.
- In another mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until it begins to thicken.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and continue to beat until stiff peaks form.
- In a trifle dish or glass bowl, arrange a layer of sliced pound cake on the bottom.
- Spread a layer of strawberry jam on top of the pound cake.
- Add a layer of the sliced strawberries on top of the jam.
- Add a layer of whipped cream on top of the strawberries.
- Repeat the layering process, starting with the pound cake, until all of the ingredients are used up.
- Finish with a layer of whipped cream and top with additional sliced strawberries for garnish.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
