Penut Butter and Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients:

For the peanut butter mousse:

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream

For the chocolate mousse:

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons hot water
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until smooth.
  2. In a separate mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  3. Fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture until fully combined.
  4. In a small saucepan, melt the chocolate chips and butter over low heat.
  5. Add hot water, sugar, and vanilla extract to the melted chocolate mixture and stir until smooth.
  6. In another mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  7. Fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture until fully combined.
  8. Spoon the peanut butter mousse into serving cups or glasses, filling them halfway.
  9. Spoon the chocolate mousse on top of the peanut butter mousse.
  10. Refrigerate the mousse for at least 1-2 hours, or until set.
  11. Garnish with chopped peanuts or chocolate shavings, if desired.
