Ingredients:
- 1 pound of nopales (cactus pads)
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon of cumin
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup of chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 lime, juiced

Instructions:
- Rinse the nopales under cold water and remove any thorns or rough edges. Cut the nopales into small pieces.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until it becomes translucent, stirring occasionally.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
- Add the nopales to the skillet along with the cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the nopales are tender.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the chopped cilantro and lime juice.
- Serve the nopales as a side dish or as a filling for tacos or burritos.
