Keto philly cheesesteak lasagna

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 12-15 slices of deli-style roast beef
  • 6-8 lasagna noodles (use low-carb noodles for a keto version)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the chopped onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the vegetables are tender.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, heavy cream, beef broth, mayonnaise, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  5. Add the cream cheese mixture to the skillet with the beef and vegetables. Stir to combine and cook for a few minutes until heated through.
  6. Layer 3-4 lasagna noodles on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  7. Spread half of the beef and cream cheese mixture on top of the noodles.
  8. Place a layer of roast beef slices on top of the beef mixture.
  9. Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top of the roast beef slices.
  10. Repeat the layers, starting with the lasagna noodles and ending with the shredded cheese.
  11. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  12. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
  13. Let the lasagna cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
