Instructions
- Prepare the Flatbread:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine mozzarella cheese and cream cheese. Microwave for about 1-2 minutes until melted. Stir until smooth.
- Add almond flour, egg, garlic powder, and baking powder to the melted cheese mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
- Roll the dough between two pieces of parchment paper to your desired thickness.
- Transfer the dough on parchment paper to a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before using.
- Cook the Beef:
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the beef slices with salt and pepper, then sear in the skillet for 1-2 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Make the Au Jus Sauce:
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic and chopped onion until fragrant and translucent.
- Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 5-10 minutes until slightly reduced.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Strain if you prefer a smoother sauce.
- Assemble the Flatbread:
- Place the seared beef slices evenly over the flatbread.
- Optionally, sprinkle with additional shredded cheese and broil for a couple of minutes until the cheese melts.
- Serve with a side of warm au jus sauce for dipping.
