Delicious mango cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup mango puree (you can use fresh or canned mango)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Mango slices and whipped cream for decoration (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture in three parts, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture.
  6. Stir in the mango puree and vanilla extract until well combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  9. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove it from the pan and place it on a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Decorate the cake with mango slices and whipped cream, if desired.
