Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar, for topping

Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch cake pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, until the batter is smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Arrange the sliced peaches on top of the batter in a single layer. Sprinkle with the remaining brown sugar.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
