For the wontons:
1/2 pound (225g) ground pork
1/2 pound (225g) raw shrimp, peeled, separated and finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 green onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1 package wonton wrappers (usually about 40 wrappers)
For the soup:
8 cups (2 liters) chicken or vegetable broth
2-3 slices of fresh ginger
2-3 cloves of garlic, crushed
1 green onion, cut into 2-inch pieces
Salt and white pepper to taste
1-2 cups bok choy or baby bok choy, chopped (or any greens of your choice)
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish (optional)
