- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 small red onion, finely chopped
- 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup of chopped fresh cilantro
- Juice of 1 lime
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop out the flesh with a spoon. Place the avocado flesh in a bowl.
- Add the chopped red onion, jalapeño pepper, minced garlic, and chopped cilantro to the bowl with the avocado.
- Squeeze the lime juice over the mixture and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
- Use a fork or a potato masher to mash the ingredients together until the desired consistency is reached. Some people like their salsa chunky, while others prefer it smooth. It’s up to you!
- Taste the salsa and adjust the seasoning as needed.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips, as a topping for tacos or burritos, or as a dip for vegetables.
Enjoy your delicious avocado salsa!
